Bj Noble

Coach Noble was named Notre Dame De Namur University Director of Soccer prior to the 2009 season. In his coaching career, Coach Noble has had the opportunity to develop players at the collegiate, high school and club levels over the past 28 years. 
 
Since arriving at NDNU, the men's team has amassed a 97-56-12 overall record in nine seasons.  Coach Noble’s teams have earned 90 Academic All-Pac West selections, 49 All Pac-West selections, 28 NSCAA/D2CCA All-West Region selections, and 8 NSCAA/D2CCA All-American selections. In 2010 the men’s soccer program led the country in goals against average at .47 and eclipsed the programs all-time winning percentage. In 2012 the NDNU men’s soccer program returned to the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament for the second time in school history.
 
Prior to arriving at NDNU, Noble served as the head men’s coach for two years at Millikin University in Decatur, IL and led the Big Blue to a 10-8-2 record in 2008. Before Millikin, Noble held the position of head coach for the U-17 boys and girls Neusport FC teams in Las Vegas. His teams found success at the state, regional, and national level. While earning his master’s degree at California’s University of Redlands, Noble served as the assistant men’s soccer coach from 2004-06.  During his two years at Redlands, the teams went 32-6-5 with Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) championships and NCAA Division III playoff appearances in 2004 and 2005. The 2005 team also held SCIAC opponents scoreless in league play.
 
Coach Noble’s coaching career began by way of Salt lake City, Utah. Noble had the great fortune to coach at the club, high school and semi-pro level while residing in Utah. Noble held coaching positions with Jordan high School, Northern United, Sparta United, and the Utah Salt Ratz. His tenure in Utah was able to garner league, tournament, state, and regional titles along with a National Championship in 2001. He credits much of his success to all of the great coaches, families, management, and players he encountered while in the Salt Lake City.
 
Noble has stayed active in youth soccer since arriving at NDNU working various youth and college ID camps throughout the country.  He currently serves on the Region IV (Far West) staff in the Olympic Development Program.  In 2011, Noble co-coached the Palo Alto Soccer Club 93 boys to the Nor Cal State Championship, CYSA State Championship, US Youth Soccer Region IV Championship and at the US Youth National Championships.
 
Noble earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Northern State University in 1996. He completed his master's in higher education from University of Redlands in 2006. Noble also holds coaching licenses with US Soccer and the NSCAA.
 
When away from soccer, Noble enjoys playing a variety of sports, is an avid sports fan and enjoys hanging out with family and friends. Noble and his wife Shannon reside in Millbrae, California with their son Brayden.
